with the Northern Territory Clinical School of the Flinders University and
the University of Sydney. The population served is 50,000 of whom 38% are
Aboriginal, accounting > 70% of inpatient days. High burden of chronic
illness: chronic liver disease, diabetes, bronchiectasis, renal failure, rheumatic
heart disease, IHD, cardiomyopathy, pneumonia, sepsis.
